Our Mission
"We think everyone should be able to use AI — not just people who can write code or configure a vector database. Atelier exists to bring AI to non-technical people too, so they can take part in this shift instead of being left behind by it."
Why Open Source First
Trust requires transparency. When an app reads your files, you need to know what it does with them. Atelier is open-source so anyone can verify:
- No data is sent to our servers
- Your files stay on your machine
- Code you can audit and fork
- No vendor lock-in
What's Coming (Web Beta)
We're building a web version for people who want to use Atelier in a browser without installing software. It'll include:
- No-install browser experience
- Collaboration (share workspaces with team members)
- Hosted infrastructure (we run it for you)
- Real-time sync across devices
This costs real money to build and operate, so it won't be free. But the desktop app will always be free and open-source.
